Welcome to the first New Fighter Watch — a recurring series where we spotlight the fighters making waves in SaltyBet right now. Who’s on a tear? Who’s quietly climbing? And who has the crowd figured out all wrong?

SaltyBet’s roster of 10,000+ fighters doesn’t change much these days — the last new additions were in early 2024. But the landscape and data are always shifting: fighters go on streaks, win rates spike or crater. The matchmaker throws someone into a new tier and suddenly they’re a different character. This series tracks those shifts so you’re not betting blind.

All data below is pulled from SaltyTrack’s database of 578,000+ matches, with a focus on 2026 performance through mid-March.

The Undefeated: Fighters Who Have Never Lost

Before we get to the movers and shakers, let’s talk about the most exclusive club in SaltyBet: fighters with zero losses. These characters have played 10+ matches across our entire dataset and have never been defeated. They’re rare, they’re terrifying, and the crowd doesn’t always know what to do with them.

H_yujiro — 26-0 (X-tier)

Record26-0

2026 Record3-0

Twenty-six fights. Twenty-six wins. Zero losses. H_yujiro sits in X-tier — the tier reserved for SaltyBet’s most dominant fighters — and has been perfect since April 2022. Most recently took down Ghost, Omni-psych justice, and Raimund seyfarth without breaking a sweat. The crowd has only bet against them once, and they won that too. At some point you have to ask: is anyone going to beat this character?

Honki-ultraman — 32-0 (X-tier)

2026 Record2-0

Thirty-two and oh. The longest active perfect record in our spotlight. Honki-ultraman has been undefeated since January 2022, and even when the crowd bet against them (3 times), they still won every single time. Their most recent victim was Rabi-ribi erina on March 11. X-tier perfection, 4+ years running.

Flea — 30-0 (X-tier)

StatValue
Record30-0
Win Rate100%
TierX
2026 Record1-0
Last MatchFeb 22, 2026

Thirty wins, zero losses, and the crowd has never once bet against them. Flea dominates so convincingly that every opponent is treated as the underdog by default. Named after the Chrono Trigger boss and playing like one — nobody in the SaltyBet database has managed to take a round off this character in 30 tries.

Hot Streaks: Who’s Dominating in 2026

These fighters aren’t undefeated overall, but their 2026 numbers are scorching. If you see them pop up in a match right now, the data says pay attention.

Thanos mvc2 — 21-0 in 2026 (S-tier)

StatAll-Time2026
Record216-4121-0
Win Rate84.0%100.0%
TierSS
Underdog Wins11/19 (57.9%)

Thanos mvc2 hasn’t lost a match in 2026. Twenty-one fights, twenty-one wins. His all-time 84% win rate is already elite for S-tier, but a perfect start to the year is something else. Even more impressive: when the crowd bets against him, he wins 58% of the time — one of the best underdog conversion rates in S-tier. The Mad Titan is living up to his name, and the argument is still out if he did anything wrong…

Regular ass chizuru — 23-1 in 2026 (S-tier)

StatAll-Time2026
Record207-3423-1
Win Rate85.9%95.8%
TierSS
Underdog Wins7/16 (43.8%)

Don’t let the name fool you — there is nothing regular about this Chizuru. A 95.8% win rate in 2026 with 24 matches played puts her near the top of S-tier’s current performers. 207 all-time wins with only 34 losses. The one loss in 2026 barely registers as a blip on an otherwise dominant run.

Hibachi — 20-1 in 2026 (S-tier)

StatAll-Time2026
Record211-4220-1
Win Rate83.4%95.2%
TierSS
Underdog Wins10/19 (52.6%)

Named after the infamous DoDonPachi final boss, Hibachi brings that same energy to SaltyBet. 20-1 in 2026, matching the pattern of S-tier dominators who just keep winning. Like Thanos, Hibachi converts over half of underdog appearances into wins — the crowd doesn’t always respect the name, and they pay for it.

The Comeback Kids: Biggest Improvers of 2026

These are the fighters who were struggling in 2025 and have come alive in 2026. Win rate jumps this dramatic usually mean the matchmaker has slotted them into a more favorable tier, or the meta has shifted around them.

Sanae_x — From 29.5% to 100% (+70.5pp)

Stat20252026
Matches6110
Win Rate29.5%100.0%
Overall Win Rate32.1%
TierSS

The biggest turnaround in our data this year. Sanae_x won fewer than a third of her matches in 2025 — a mediocre record for S-tier. In 2026? She’s 10-0. Perfect. A fighter with a 32.1% all-time win rate who’s suddenly unbeatable. Is this a hot streak that’ll cool off, or has something fundamentally changed? The sample is still small, but 10-0 in S-tier doesn’t happen by accident.

Rugal EX3 — From 21.2% to 91.7% (+70.5pp)

Stat20252026
Matches5212
Win Rate21.2%91.7%
Overall Win Rate55.2%
TierAA

I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for Rugal and all the King of Fighters characters — the Neo Geo Pocket Color console was way ahead of its time, and was one of my earliest exposures to KoF.

Rugal EX3 was having a rough 2025 — only 21.2% across 52 matches, way below the 55% all-time average, which I find surprising but performance is what it is. Then 2026 hit and suddenly it’s 11-1. A 70-point swing in A-tier is wild. The all-time 55% win rate suggests this fighter is genuinely decent, and 2025 was the outlier rather than 2026. One to watch as the sample grows.

Lamia — From 14.0% to 87.5% (+73.5pp)

Stat20252026
Matches508
Win Rate14.0%87.5%
Overall Win Rate43.7%
TierAA

The biggest raw improvement on our list. Lamia won just 7 out of 50 matches in 2025 — brutal. In 2026, they’re 7-1. The all-time 43.7% suggests they’re a fighter who runs hot and cold, and right now they’re scalding. If you see Lamia pop up in A-tier, the recent form says bet the streak until it breaks.

What to Watch For

A few patterns from this month’s data:

S-tier is on a dominant streak. Thanos mvc2, Regular ass chizuru, and Hibachi are all posting near-perfect 2026 records in the toughest tier. If the crowd gives you a chance to back any of these three at less-than-stellar odds, the data says take it. And we would love to see these three square up. We might look into that next!

The undefeated are real. Really real. H_yujiro, Honki-ultraman, and Flea aren’t flukes — they’ve been winning for 4+ years. Their match counts are low because X-tier rotates slowly, but when they show up, they win. Every. Time. You might say they are… inevitable.

Comeback streaks in A-tier are volatile. Rugal EX3, Lamia, and Alissa all jumped 50+ points from 2025 to 2026. These are exciting, but the sample sizes (5–12 matches) mean regression is likely. Don’t bet the farm on a 10-match streak in A-tier — but do pay attention to them.
